Observer editorial.
The Observer expressed frustration that "love" be extended in the forms of recognition of and brotherhood with homosexuals on Boston College's campus. Jesus, in response, wrote the following letter, which
The Register obtained.
"Dear members of the
Boston College Observer editorial board,
Love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no commandment greater than this.
Love,
Jesus."
The Observer declined to print Jesus' response.
Jesus loved everyone, right? And what did He say over and over again? Was it, "It's okay to do what you want. I support you even if what you want to do isn't good for you"?
ReplyDeleteOf course not. It was "Go and sin no more. I love you. This is bad for you. Don't do it anymore."
You can argue about whether homosexual attraction or activity can be bad for someone, but if someone really believes it is, condemning any organization or action that promotes it IS loving, even if you think that attempt to love is misdirected.
